John Pressley

John Norman Pressley, age 57, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Carroll E. and Emily Blickenstaff Pressley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy P. Finger. John was a member of West Canton Baptist Church and was employed at Steelcase Mfg. John enjoyed music and playing his guitar. He loved spending time with his family and two dogs, Peanut and China. He is survived by a son, Adam C. Pressley and his wife, Shelley, of Candler; one daughter, Elizabeth C. Pressley of Winston Salem; an aunt, Lita Grey Pressley Osborne of Clyde; and his former spouse, Jennifer J. Adams of Winston Salem. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Steadman and Pastor Jacob Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
