John Sells

"1961 – 2017" Clyde – John David Sells, 55, of the Thickety community, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at his home. A native of Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Sterlie Kermit Sells and Evelyn Jean (Binegar) Battle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Rachel and Grace; and a brother, Clifford. John was employed as a laborer with W.G. Lockhart in Akron Ohio and was a proud member of the local 894 Labors Union. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Woods and grandchildren, Owen and Madison Tidwell of Akron, Ohio; the mother of his child, Vickie Woods of Akron, Ohio; five sisters, Sarah Angerstien of Clyde, Vickie Sells of Palm Bay, Florida, Kay Ritchey of Frankfort, Kentucky, Irene Reiber of Akron, Ohio, and Pat McPeak of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two brothers, Tim and Sterlie Sells, Jr. both of Akron, Ohio. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in his home town of Akron, Ohio.
