John Swift

Waynesville, John Lewis Swift, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Faucette Swift, Jr. and Irene Chambers Swift and was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger J. Swift. He was a graduate of Tuscola High School and a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era. John received his Psychology Degree from Western Carolina University and retired as Planning Director for the Town of Waynesville. John enjoyed playing golf and being outdoors fly-fishing. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kaye Armstrong Swift, and two nephews, Dylan Swift of Forestdale, Massachusetts and Neal Swift of San Antonio, Texas. Private family services will be held.
