John Wamsley

John Phillip Wamsley, 85, beloved husband and brother, passed away on October 23, 2012 at the Solace Care Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Blanche Jarvis Wamsley, who cared for him with loving devotion.
A native of Asheville, he was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Bannon Wamsley and Porter Gilbert Wamsley. John had a strong spirit, a rich sense of humor and an unflagging love for his family. A Navy Veteran of WWII, John served with the Seabees and had a special love for his country. He was retired from Alliance Mold and Tool Company.
In addition to his wife, Blanche, he is survived by his two brothers, James 'Buzz' Wamsley, and his wife, Rosemary and Edward Wamsley, and his wife, Iris and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, with the Rev. Frank J. Seabo, Jr. officiating, on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00AM. Inurnment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
