Johnny Bonham

Johnny Franklin Bonham, age 68, died Sunday August 27, 2006, at his residence. He was the son of Ruby Pressley Bonham, of Canton, and the late Frank Bonham. He retired from International Paper in 1998 with 22 years of service. He also retired from the Air Force, having served in Korea and Vietnam and was a member of the West Asheville Church of God. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pauline Medford Bonham; a daughter, Brenda Landers and her husband, Jack, of Conyers, GA; a son, Brian Bonham, of Littleton, CO; two sisters, Judy Hipps and Jan West, both of Canton; four brothers, Charles Bonham, of Clyde, Douglas Bonham, of St. Joseph, MI, Michael Bonham, of Seneca, SC and David Bonham, of Canton; and three grandchildren, Sean Bonham, Matthew and Daniel Landers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August, 29, 2006, at the West Asheville Church of God with the Reverend Roger Lunsford officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
