Johnny Painter

Waynesville, Johnny McCoy Painter, age 66, passed away on January 28, 2016 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation. Johnny grew up in Wendell, the son of Elgie and Dorothy Painter, both deceased. He is survived by sisters, Linda Arnold, of Waynesville and Carolyn Boyette and husband, Tim, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; nephews, Ashley Boyette and wife, Geri, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Bob Arnold of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Jim Arnold and wife, Krista Macari of Reading, Massachusetts; and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center with Reverend David Williams officiating. The family acknowledges the care provided over the years by the staff at Smoky Mountain. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Residents' Fund of Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center, 1349 Crabtree Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.
