Johnson Randall

Waynesville, Johnson L. "John" Randall, age 66, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Manuel and Mary Randall Moody and was also preceded in death by one brother James Moody and a sister Brenda Miller. He was employed as a truck driver with Ready Mix for 20 years and with Southern Concrete for 16 years. John was a member of Hemphill Baptist Church. He loved his family, work and the outdoors. He enjoyed digging for Ginseng and working in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mildred Randall, three daughters, Stephanie Fisher and her husband Terry of Waynesville; Lisa Grasty and her husband Ervin and Nancy Strickland and her husband Joseph, all of Clyde; three sisters, Frances Fie of Waynesville; Mary Ellen Byington of Jupiter, FL and Vickie Howell and her husband Gerald of Waynesville; 7 grandchildren, Chris Randall, Logan Strickland, Dylan Strickland, Dallas Fraga, Tiffany Childers, Sarah Roberts and Kimberly Roberts and 3 great-grandchildren on the way. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Reverend Chad Ellege and Reverend Gary Putnam will officiate. Burial will follow at Fincher's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
