Joneita Yantes

Waynesville, Joneita Daniel Yantes, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at MedWest-Haywood. A native of Athens, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest M. and Mabel Burton Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Max Lamar Bond, Jr. Joneita was employed by Western Carolina University as a Human Resource Technician for 20 years and was a member of Asheville Family Church and Good Sam's Club. Joneita loved to camp and play scrabble. She collected chicken figurines, Beanie Babies and always looked forward to celebrating Christmas. Joneita was an amazing wife, mother and a friend to all. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael Lee Yantes, a son, Barry Bond and his companion, Sharon, of Franklin; a daughter, Bonnie Bond of Asheville; a stepson, Rick Yantes and his wife, Debbie, of Waynesville; three stepdaughters, Michelle Falk and her husband, Charles, of Waynesville, Katherine Yantes of Indiana and Ann-Marie Yantes of San Francisco, CA; a sister, Betty Jane Bowden of Dahlonega, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Asheville Family Church on Leicester Highway with Pastor Rolf Woodard officiating.
