"One of a Kind"

Waynesville, Joseph John Agostini, Jr., 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at The Homestead.

A native of New York, New York he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna Emanuele Agostini. Joe proudly served in the United States Navy (1953-1955), assigned to the United States Navy Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia and was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, photography and collecting Indian Artifacts. In the fall of 1998, Joe moved to Waynesville and lived in the Jonathan Creek area. He loved his family and living in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

Joe is survived by his son, David Agostini, and his wife, Sharon, of Waynesville; daughter, Bethany Agostini, and her partner, Jennifer Patterson, of Wilmington, North Carolina; brother, Edward Agostini, and his wife, Sylvia, of New York; and their children and families.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; granddaughter, Angela Agostini-Bartucca, and her husband, Paul, Jr., of Waynesville, grandson Steven Agostini, and his wife, Jess, and great-granddaughter, Olivia June, of Waynesville, grandson, Michael Agostini, and his girlfriend, Meghan Kurzel, of Maggie Valley, granddaughter, SSgt. Michelle M. Agostini, USAF, and great-granddaughter, Emma Jean, of Georgia.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesville, North Carolina.
