Joseph Devlin

Joseph William "Bill" Devlin, age 65, of 210 Johnson Blvd. died Friday, May 6, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Haywood County. He was the son of the late Sam and Vonnie Mason Devlin. He is preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette Owenby , three brothers Oren Devlin, Ralph Devlin, and Charles Devlin. Also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Melissa Stevenson and Amber Drawdy. He is survived by his companion of twenty years, Wanda Garland, two daughters, Teresa Allen and Pam Jenkins of both of Waynesville, two sons Bill and Dewayne Devlin both of Asheville, five sisters, Geneva Garrett of Leicester, Emily Cody of Fletcher, Hilda Henderson of Candler, Frances Mason of Nantahala , Betty Reynolds of Connecticut , and one brother Earnest Devlin of Candler, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum Chapel at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, with the Reverend David Guntry officiating. Entombment will follow in the Forest lawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Canton.
