Joseph Levy

Joseph George Levy, Sr., 86, of Candler, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016. He was born in Morristown, NJ to the late Frederick and Emma Bischoff Levy. He retired from Kearfott Corporation in Swannanoa after 23 years and was a member of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in Candler. Joseph loved animals and watching old Western movies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Angel on Earth and Angel in Heaven, his beloved wife of 62 years, Wanda Henson Levy; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Joseph is survived by his children, Louise Osborne of Atlanta, Marilyn (Jeffery) Rogers of Candler, Joseph (Debbie) Levy, Jr. of SC and Alan (Mae) Levy of Asheville; grandchildren, Jeremy Rogers and Ashley Osborne; many nieces and nephews and best friend, Andy Anderson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, December 26 at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Becky's Rest Home, 316 Lower Brush Creek Road, Fletcher, NC 28732. The family gives special thanks to Ronda Hensley FNP of the Charles George VA Medical Center and Four Seasons Compassion for Living in Hendersonville.
