Joseph Sharp

Canton – Joseph Ray "Joe" Sharp, age 57, of the Cruso community, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. Joe was born in Burbank, California, but had lived most of his life in Haywood County and was the son of the late Noble Quay and Sally Bradley Sharp. He owned and operated Sharp Industrial Machine Shop in Canton. Joe will be remembered for his simple nature. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake. He also enjoyed fishing and racing. He is survived by his wife, Sue Moody Sharp; his son, Joe David Sharp of Atlanta, GA; and his sister, Jean Sorrells and her husband, Jimbo, of Canton; step children and step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at East Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
