Joy Wilson

Joy Wilson, age 76, died on Monday, October 4, 2010, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late H. T. Webb and Virginia Scruggs Duckett. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marcus Wilson, who died in 2001 and a daughter, Phyllis Wilson Hipps, who died in 2005. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, James Marcus Wilson, Jr., and his wife, Vicki, of Canton; three grandchildren, Courtney Parris and her husband, Chad; Christy Wilson, and Brent Wilson and his wife, Alicia; two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Chloe Parris. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Reverend Dennis Ruff and Reverend Dr. Kevin Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
