Joyce Henry

Waynesville, Joyce Henry, age 62, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. Joyce was a native of Haywood County, and the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Underwood McEvoy. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as cooking, fishing and camping with her family and friends in Cherokee. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bill Henry; four sons, Allen Henry and his wife, Jennifer, of Canton; Trey Henry and his wife, Jennifer, of Clyde, Caris Henry and his wife, Paula, of Waynesville and Cody Wooldridge, and his wife, Heather, of Sylva; one daughter, Angel Sutton and her husband, Kevin, of Clyde and 11 grandchildren, Jordan, Cody, Lee, Adam, Caleb and Shane Henry, Ashley Hoitt, Cody Swanger, Gary and Greg Honeycutt and Jake Wooldridge. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009 in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Alan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times, the family will be at the residence of Caris Henry on Calhoun Road.
