Joyce Taylor

Candler – Joyce Griffin Taylor, age 77 passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at John F. Keever Solace Center.

A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Devorow and Virginia Rice Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ellis Taylor, who died in 2020; and two sons, Gregory Taylor, who died in 2020, and Grady Taylor, who died in 2016.

Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.

She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Lucas Taylor and his wife, Jeanette, of Candler; three grandchildren, April Taylor, and her husband, Michael, Robin Clevinger, and her husband, Kevin, and Kayla Taylor, and her fiancé, Jamie; eleven great-grandchildren; and guardian, Tammy Barker and her husband, Jim.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating.  Due to Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be observed.
