Judith Parker & Roger Dale Rector

Fairview - Judith "Judi" Parker and Roger Dale Rector both passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

A native of Buncombe County, Judi was a daughter of the late Mack Foy and Oneva Redmon Parker and was formerly employed by the Mission Hospital system as a unit secretary. Judi was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her humor, love of music, passion for life and compassion for others. Roger was a son of Julia Wiley, of Asheville. Judi and Roger owned and operated Roger Rector Auctions and he was a United States Air Force veteran.

She is survived by one son, Sean Love and wife, Jennifer and beloved grandson, Parker Love, of Fairview; three sisters, Suzanne Guinn of Arden, Nancy Patton and husband, Ronnie, of Lake James and Mackelene Sandlin and husband, Bill, of Candler; three nephews, Chris and Scott Sandlin and Nathan Patton. Roger is survived a daughter, Gwen Goldthwaite and husband, Glen, of Candler; a son, Roger Rector, Jr. of Candler; one sister, Sandra Waldrop and husband, Ed, Jr.; one brother, Bobby Rector and wife, Patsy; and two grandchildren, Haley and Josh Cummings.

A joint memorial service for Judi and her husband, Roger, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Betty Drake officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m.
