Judith Ledford

April 22, 1941 — June 18, 2007

Waynesville-Judith Reece Ledford, age 66, of Westwood Circle, died on Monday, June 18, 2007 at Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Mary Messer Reece. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Junior" Ledford, who died in 2005 and a half sister, Earlene Messer. She retired after 35 years from Wellco where she worked as a trimmer. She loved to camp with her family, spend time with her grandchildren, and listen to music. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Terry Ledford and his wife, Mary, of Waynesville and Dewayne Ledford and his wife, April, of Sylva; a half sister, Patsy Moore, of Holly Spring, FL; a half brother, Billy Wayne Moore, of Waynesville; two grandsons, Avery and Tanner Ledford; one step grandson, Dustin Silvers; and a special friend, Sherry Raines, of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Sharpe, Reverend Alan Blanton, and Reverend Doug Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Chapman, Paul Mull, Larry Mintz, Ray Snyder, Chris Snyder, and Benny Pettus. Memorials may be made to Davita, 11 Park Terrace Drive, Clyde, NC 28721
