Waynesville-Julian Grant Kackley, age 77, of 60 Parker Point, died on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Russell and Helen Follin Kackley and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Kackley, and a brother, Donald Kackley. A veteran of World War II, he served as a Corporal in the US Air Force. He was employed as an automotive salesman for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR and Joe Gibbs Racing Team and was a lifelong Washington Redskins fan. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Doreen Kackley; two daughters, Dawn Kackley of Scottsdale, AZ and Margaret McCarthy of Davie, FL; three sons, Jimmy and John Brick of Waynesville and Mike Brick and his wife, Angela, of Front Royal, VA; one grandson, Craig Buterbaugh, of West Palm Beach, FL; and four step grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2006 at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
