KANSAS B. WINFREY
Clyde-Kansas Julie Blevins Bodford McMahan Winfrey, age 79, of Levi Street, died Friday, May 16, 2003 at Mission St. Joseph's Health Care System.
She was a native of Yancey County and lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Pretzel and Ellie Dale Belvins. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Bodford, Frank E. McMahan and James W. Winfrey, and by a brother, Luther Blevins and a sister, Helen Wright.
She was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Autrey of Waynesville; a brother, Wynn Bodford of Waynesville; three brothers, E. P. Blevins of Waynesville, Phillip and Luther Blevins, both of Maggie Valley; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003 with Reverend Tom Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Tyson and Phillip Bodford, Mary Autrey, Whitt Winfrey, Chris Hastings, and Marsha Vance.
