Karen Cook

Karen Park Cook, 71, of Asheville passed away on April 27, 2016. She was born in Hamilton, OH to the late Ray and Margaret Lunsford Park. Karen attended Mars Hill College, where she met her husband, Lance. They married in 1965 and moved to Asheville in 1969 after having previously lived in Tacoma, WA, Hamilton, OH and Concord, NC. Karen worked for AT&T in Charlotte and Asheville, and then attended AB Tech where she was certified to be a Nursing Assistant. She and Lance attended Reed Memorial Baptist Church. Karen enjoyed attending football games, playing bingo and eating Three Musketeer Bars together.
She is survived by her husband, Lance; son, Mark Cook; brothers, Johnny (Michelle) Harris and Leonard (Jenny) Harris and brother-in-law, Bruce Cook.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center. A reception will follow the service.
