Karen Woods

Karen Patricia Crowe Woods, 62, of Candler passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Advent Health in Fletcher.  A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of Albert Crowe of Candler and the late Shirley Arlene Warren Crowe.

Karen was employed with NyPro as the first female quality engineer.  She was very involved with her children’s extracurricular activities, she was a cheerleading coach and attended as many football games, little league baseball games and wrestling matches as possible.  Camping in Saluda was a treasured time with her family. She was a member of Glady Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of four years, Larry Woods; daughter, Shenan Roberts and her husband, Nathan Jones of Clyde; son, Brad Roberts and his wife, Tennille of Candler; step-daughter, Carmella Parker and her husband, Brad of Candler; two sisters, Krista Crowe and Kelly Phillips and her husband, Tyson all of Candler; brother, Kevin Crowe and his fiancé, Leslie and eleven grandchildren, Dillen, Mackenzi, Zaiden, Ariah, Kyler, Corbin, Rylee, Airanna, Emilio, Cisco and Dan.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Browns View Church followed by a graveside service at 12:00 p.m.  The Reverends Greg Warren, Steve Rogers and D. J. Jones will officiate.  A celebration of life service will follow in the church at 12:30 p.m.

The care of Mrs. Woods has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
