Katherine Harkins

Katherine Ann Pullen Harkins, age 77, of 357 Morning Star Road died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at her residence. She was a native of Charleston, MO and had resided in Haywood County for 62 years. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Edward and Pauline Wright Pullen and was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harkins, who died in 1995 and two sons, Jerry Mack Harkins and Carroll Harkins. She was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church. Katherine loved her children and grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her dog, Gracie. She is survived by a daughter, Luann Cook and her husband, Gary, of Canton; a son, Robert Gene Harkins and his wife, Jane, of Sharpsburg, GA; two brothers, Robert Pullen of Virden, IL and Bill Pullen and his wife, Bernice, of New Orleans; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2006, at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Doug Love officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Morning Star Cemetery Association Trust Fund, P. O.
