Katherine Lunsford

Katherine Marlor Lunsford, 86, mother of eight and grandmother of twelve entered the gates of heaven on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015.

A mother who sacrificed all for her children, she was always the backbone to her family. Her strength and endurance was evident until her last days. Katherine embraced God's beauty of the outdoors and used her green thumb to create beautiful flower gardens about her home in Bent Creek. Her outspoken wit brought laughter to those around her. She made friends throughout Buncombe and Madison county.
Katherine joins her mother and father, Bertha and William Marlor, her firstborn Linda, and siblings Myrtle, Mozelle, Georgia, Clyde, Ruby, and Robbie to celebrate eternal life.

Her memory will be cherished by her children; Troy Lunsford of Alabama, Diane Owle(Willie) of Whittier, NC, David Lunsford (Sally) of Asheville, Robert Lunsford (Michelle) of Weavervillle, Doug Lunsford (Vivian) of Mars Hill, Neal Lunsford (Gwynn) of South Carolina, and Don Lunsford (Rhenya) of Asheville. She leaves behind a legacy of twelve grandchildren; Walter, Adam, Morgan, Amber, Misty, Jason, Jennifer, Josh, John, Mitchell, Brian, and Brandi.

The family will receive family and friends at noon on Saturday, February 7, 2015, in the Chapel of Faith, Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler. Services will follow at 1:00pm.
