Kathleen Riddle

Maggie Valley, Kathleen Anderson Riddle, age 80, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home. A native of Pulaski, Virginia, she had resided in Haywood County for the past 14 years. She was the daughter of the late Jerry Farmer Anderson and Bertie May Thompson Anderson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Riddle, who died in 1975, as well as four brothers and one sister. Kathleen's life revolved around her loving family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and being with her Chihuahua, "Buttercup." She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Riddle, of Waynesville; two sons, Frank Riddle (Sheila) of Clyde and Larry Riddle of Texas; a twin sister, Pauline Jones, of Hopewell, Virginia; one brother, J.R. Anderson, of Pulaski, Virginia; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
