Kathryn Hardin

Kathryn Worley Hardin, age 82, of Mulberry Street died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Mission Hospitals, Memorial Campus. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Claude S. and Isabelle Worley. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Donna, Jan, and Joan Hardin. She retired from Sears with 20 years of service as a teletype operator. She also worked part-time with the Town of Clyde. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bobby Hardin; a son, Steve Hardin and his wife, Martha, of Clyde; a sister, Edith Pless of Canton; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Hardin of Charleston, SC and Cameron Hardin of Clyde. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road with the Reverend Randy Tingle and Reverend James Hart officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, P. O. Box 639, Wilson, NC 28794.
