Kathryn Kent

Waynesville- Kathryn "Lorraine" Kent, 84, of Navarre, Florida, died on Friday April 7, 2006 at her residence in Navarre. A native of Gold Hill, Oregon, she was a former resident of Miami, FL; where she lived until their retirement .She moved to Waynesville where she lived until moving to Navarre, FL five years ago. She was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn Pratt Lilge. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Alfred Kent, who passed away in 1997. She was a member of Navarre United Methodist Church and was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville were she taught Sunday school and was active in the Untied Methodist Women. Lorraine also was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, in Haywood County, along with her husband, Alfred. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Merrill, and her husband, Russ, of Navarre, FL; one son, Rick Kent, and his wife Lynn, of Gambrills, MD; one sister, June Seymore, of London, England; three grandchildren, Wendi Powell, Lori Shook, Scott Merrill and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend W. Lyn Sorrells fficiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville.
