Kathy Troyer

Waynesville, Kathy Byler Troyer, age 51, of Red Bank Road, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at her residence. A native of Geauga County, Ohio, she was a former resident of Sarasota, Florida, and had resided in Haywood County since 2004. She was the daughter of Ada Marie Miller Byler, of Middlefield, Ohio and the late Daniel Byler. Kathy was a volunteer with Haywood Regional Medical Center and was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, Eli E. "J.R." Troyer; two sisters, Rhoda Weaver, and her husband, Elwin, of Parkman, OH; and Sallie Byler, of Middlefield, OH; and a brother, Daniel Byler, and his wife, Lovina, of Marion, MI. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. The family will also receive friends Saturday at Allens Creek Baptist Church prior to the service from 11:45 until 12:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Haywood Regional Medical Center Foundation, 262 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28786.
