Kell Smith

Kell N. Smith, 85, of Candler, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27. Kell was a native of Buncombe County, a son of the late Ralph and Jesse Henson Smith. He served his country in the Navy and Army. Kell was a loving husband and father, he especially loved his grandbabies, animals, being outdoors and the Lord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Smith; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Hilda (Billy) Pressley and Teresa (Arthur) Smith-Engelen; son, William (Mary) Smith; step-son, Gene Bryant; sister, Jerri Krause; grandchildren, Anthony Cox, Tina Honeycutt, Kelsie Pressley, Gregory Bryant, Brandon Warren, Brandy Murphy, and Rebeka Ryan and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 31st at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler.
