Kelly Haney Pace, age 48, joined her Savior and awaiting loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, December 29, 2011, after a hard fought battle with cancer. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Carroll and Joyce Riddle Haney. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Inez Riddle and paternal grandparents, Amos and Lillie Haney. Kelly received her Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Master's degree in Education from Western Carolina University. She was a National Board Certified Teacher at Pisgah High School. She was an active member of Canton First Baptist Church and an avid supporter of all her children's activities. Kelly had a great love for her Lord, her children, her family, friends, and students. She also loved all things Disney. In addition to her parents, Kelly is survived by two sons, Samuel and Jonah Pace of the home; a brother, Kevin Haney and his wife, Judy, of Swannanoa and their children, Shaley and Savannah; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Canton First Baptist Church with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to State Employees Credit Union for Samuel and Jonah Pace, P. O.
