Clyde-Kendra Alisha Davis, age 16, of Timber Ridge Apartments, died on Sunday, May 1, 2005. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Ruel and Donna Dendy Davis. She was a sophomore and an honor student at Pisgah High School and a member of the Pep Club and Leo Club. She was also a member of the Praise and Worship Team of FCA, and the Hazelwood Church of God Praise and Worship Team where she was a member. She enjoyed singing, spending time with her friends, playing the piano and sports, and enjoyed working with children. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Tom and Lucy Messer of Waynesville; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Mary Davis of Canton and Sara Johnson of Waynesville; a sister, Holly Bradley, of Clyde; and four aunts, Sandy Watts of Canton, Delores "Sissy" Hastings of Clyde, Kendra Moore of Waynesville, and Deb Evans of Lumberton, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Hazelwood Church of God with Reverend Daniel Rushing and Reverend Dennis Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Earl and Robbie Davis, Heath Rogers, Joey Blake, Bradley Pace, and Bradley Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Wheeler, George Henry, Shane Cooper, Joey Collins, and Kenneth, Keith, and Ronnie Moore. Memorials may be made in memory of Kendra to Hazelwood Church of God, c/o Praise and Worship Team, 268 Camelot Drive, Waynesville, NC 28786.
