Clyde-Kenneth D. Milner, Sr., age 79, of 82 Mockingbird Lane, died on Friday, September 16, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A lifelong native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late John and Cora Lee Franklin Milner. His wife, Frances Dryer Milner, who passed away in 1998, also preceded him in death. Mr. Milner was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. He was always a very giving and loving friend. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Milner Jr. and his wife, Sally, of Lavonia, NC., Bob Milner and his wife, Cheryl, of Old Fort; two sisters, Betty Hannah of Clyde and Jimmie Haney of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Chris Milner of Waynesville and Lori Milner of Black Mountain; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes. Reverend Alan Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Ratcliff Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Morris, Gary and Roger Hannah, Jimmy Cook, Terry Haney, Ed Carter, Jim Leatherwood, and Jim Orrell.
