Kenneth Stamey

Lake Junaluska, NC-Kenneth Robert Stamey, age 58, of J.B. Ivey Lane, died on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Charlotte, NC, he was a former resident of Cherryville, NC and had lived in Haywood County for the past two years. He was the son of Reverend Dr. Robert H. Stamey and the late Thelma Hubbard Stamey of Lake Junaluska. He was a tile mason by trade and loved labrador retrievers. He was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, Tyler Kent Stamey of Cherryville, NC; and one sister, Melissa Stamey and a niece, Lindsey Raeburn, both of Lake Junaluska. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in the chapel of First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Lyn Sorrells and Reverend John Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville, NC with Reverend Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.
