Kenneth Warren

April 2, 1941 — February 4, 2013

Kenneth Wade "Joe" Warren, age 71, of the Bethel community, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Mission Hospitals – St Josephs Campus after suffering from a series of strokes beginning on November 27, 2012. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Urior and Ineva Estella Gardner Warren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Warren. He retired from Blue Ridge Paper in 2004 with more than 40 years of service and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Joe was a very special and dear man who was loved and admired by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his selfless and kind nature. Joe especially enjoyed working and restoring classic cars and listening to music of all kinds. He was a United States Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Fisher Warren, two sons, Joey Warren and his wife, Angie, of Canton and Jeffrey Alan Warren and his wife, Monica, of Asheville; a sister, Jackie Pressley and her husband, Wayne, of Clyde; a brother, Daniel Warren and his wife, Karen, of Cruso; a sister-in-law, Louella; several nieces and nephews; a host of special friends; and his beloved companion "Maggie". Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Roy Leon Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
