Kenneth "Ken" Mabry

Maggie Valley, Kenneth Arnold Mabry, age 77, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.

A native of South Carolina, he was a son of the late Arnold and Hazel Mullinax Mabry.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Fain.  Ken was employed by Delta Airlines for 18 years and was owner of Sports Technology in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  He was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church and was a former member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill.  Ken enjoyed computers and took great pride in building a rental cabin in Maggie Valley.

Ken is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol Ann Smith Mabry; two daughters, Karen Henning, and her husband, Marty and Sonya Collins; two sons, Brian Mabry and Michael Mabry, and his wife, Ida; a brother, Harold Mabry, and his wife, Pam; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Pace officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home.

The care of Mr. Mabry has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
