Kent Curtis

Clyde, Kent Lee Curtis, age 56, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at The Homestead. A Haywood County native, he is the son of the late Louie and Eullar Holt Curtis. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Claude Lewis Curtis. Kent attended Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church and was a master carpenter and worked at Harrah's. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and going to the lake, he also enjoyed watching wrestling. Kent is survived by two daughters, Dana (Matthew) of Clyde and Leeanna (Matt) of Canton; one son, Dakota (Hannah) of Canton; two sisters, Polly Hendricks (Carroll) of Waynesville and Sue Rider, of Canton; one brother, Eddie Curtis (Linda) of Waynesville; and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Buford Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
