Canton – Kim Farmer Burnette, age 48, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at her residence in Canton.
A native of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, she was the daughter of James Kenneth Farmer of Canton and the late Gail Hall Farmer. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marion and Effie Farmer and grandfather, Edgar Lee Hall Jr. She was employed as a registered nurse and was a member of Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, William Burnette; one daughter, Robyn Gail Burnette of Canton; one son, Ryan Burnette of Hendersonville, NC; one sister, Kendra Farmer Smathers; a mother and father-in-law, Ralph "Pappy" and Roxie Burnette of Canton; a maternal grandmother, Doris Aileen Hall of Canton; one grandson, Hunter Braelyn Mathes, her pride and joy; and a special niece and nephew, Taylor Henson and Colt Smathers, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jake Cagle and Reverend Stephanie McLeskey officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
