Kim Wells

March 3, 1957 — September 1, 2012

Marshall Kimsey "Snapper" Wells, age 55, passed away on September 1, 2012, at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Shufford and Jo Ann Neal Wells of Canton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Glance Wells, who died in 1984. Kim was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was employed by Steelcase for 34 years having worked in Fletcher and then transferred to Athens, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Chad Wells; a sister, Rhonda McClure; two brothers, Neal and his wife, Diane, and Mease Wells and Anita, all of Canton; twin grandsons, Garren and Grayson Wells; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Darrin Waldroup and Reverend Mark Bullman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial service was also held for Kim on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Seven Mile Post Road Church of Christ in Athens, Alabama.
