Kitty Williams

Kitty Smith Williams, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at The Homestead. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James Herbert "Bud" and Margaret Virginia "Jenny" Graham Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Williams, Jr., who died in 2001; and two sisters, Dorothy Turner and Sandra Nichols. Kitty was a graduate of Education for Ministry from the School of Theology at the University of the South Sewanee Tennessee and was a member of the Order of the Daughters of the King. She retired from Plus Linen Cleaners, with ten plus years of service, in 2011. She is survived by a son, Josh Boyd Williams and his wife, Jennifer, and their daughters, Faith and Grace; a daughter, Mary Margaret "Beth" Smith and her husband, Kyle, and their daughter, Kaiya, all of Waynesville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Andrews on the hill Episcopal Church with Father Tim McRee and Reverend Deacon Russell Smith, M.D. officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Inurnment will be at St. Andrews Episcopal Memorial Gardens. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
