Kymbraly Cox

Raleigh - Kymbraly (Kym) Althea Wheeler Cox, age 51, of Raleigh passed away peacefully at her home on May 28, 2015. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Nancy Wheeler of Waynesville and the late William Albert Wheeler, Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Temprell Cannon. Kym was employed by Wells Fargo Company and a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Elizabeth City State Raleigh Alumni Chapter. She was dearly loved by all her family and friends. Kym will be remembered for being a wonderful and devoted wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of eleven years, Michael A. Cox of Raleigh; two brothers, Bill Wheeler (A.B.), of Boonville, NC and Gregory Wheeler of Waynesville; two step-children; thirteen grandchildren and one on the way; three great –grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Elder Bryan Myers, Pastor Tim Sheridan, and Reverend Walter S. Bryson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Nancy Wheeler, 329 Belleview Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
