Lacy Allison

Waynesville-Lacy Jane Wood Allison, age 93, 31 Vintage Drive, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Brian Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Mary Modena Sutton Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Award C. Allison, who died in 1993; two daughters, Lois Whitten and Pansy Allison; and two sons, Hardin and Eddie Allison; five brothers; and three sisters. She was a member of Hemphill Baptist Church. Her family will remember her as a person who always put others before herself. She is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Sue Waldroup, of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Don Allison and his wife, Dorothy, and Leon Allison and his wife, Darlene, both of Waynesville; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Dewayne Rathbone and Reverend Bobby Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
