Clyde – Larry Ephraim Beck, 60, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.

Larry was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of Janie Lunsford Beck of Clyde and the late E. C. (Junior) Beck.  He was a “prayer warrior” for everyone each night, friends or foe alike and was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Kendera Beck of Knoxville, Tennessee and Christy Cagle (D.J.) of Sweetwater, Tennessee; one son, Kevin Beck (Heather Lee) of Clyde; three sisters, Debbie Jones (Keith) of Clyde, Rhonda Beck of Candler, and Tammy Lanning (Randy) of Clyde; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dallas James, Reverend Chad Bennett and Reverend Scott Moody officiating.  Burial will follow at Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Due to COVID–19, mask and social distancing will be observed, and attendance will be limited to 50 members of the family only.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice Solace Center, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC  28813.

The care of Mr. Beck has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
