Larry Worley

Canton - Larry Eugene Worley, age 56, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Swain County. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Albert and Blanche Grooms Worley. Mr. Worley was employed by Blue Ridge Paper and had been with the company for 32 years. He was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church, and an Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He is survived by three daughters, Anna Worley of Waynesville, Suzanne Worley and Mary Worley of Asheville; a son, Chad Worley of Canton; a sister, Phyllis Mease of Canton; a brother, Steve Worley of Sylva; and two grandchildren, Hali Worley and Cody Owen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2006, in the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Martin Worley officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
