Anna Laura Buchanan Trull, 78, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Bakersville, NC, but had resided in Candler, NC, in Buncombe County since she was 4 years old. She was the daughter of the late Ora and Nell Ledford Buchanan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Trull who died in 2014; a grandson, Zachary Trull; sisters, Wathena McKinney, Arvella Palmer, Wilma Rogers; and a brother, Paul Buchanan.
Laura worked many years as a childcare provider at Snow Hill Child Enrichment Center and retired from Kmart in Asheville. She was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church where through the years she served as a Sunday school teacher, VBS volunteer, kitchen ministry and greeter. She was loved by many for her kindness for others and always had a smile on her face. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Trull (Lisa) and Keith Trull (Carla), all of Candler; a sister, Sandra Romero; two brothers, Sherrill Buchanan and Ricky Buchanan; three grandchildren, Amber Trull of Waynesville, Jordan Crockett (Justin) of Asheville, and Cooper Trull (Hannah) of Winston-Salem, NC; four great-grandchildren, Ezra, Havilyn and Warson Trull, and Quinn Crockett.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Pole Creek Baptist Church with the Pastor Ben Heise officiating. Burial will follow at Snow Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
