Lauren Craig

Waynesville, Lauren Craig, age 30, of 525 Silent Acres Road, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010. She was born and spent most of her life in Ocala, Florida and had resided in Haywood County since 1998. She was the daughter of Larry and Diane Craig of Clyde. She was preceded in death by a brother, Shane Craig. Lauren was a nurse and was employed by Haywood Regional Medical Center. She had a special love for animals—all kinds from horses to llamas to dogs, cats, and even ferrets. She was also dedicated to her profession as a nurse. In addition to her parents, she is survived by daughter, Elke Craig; and her fiancé, Basil Pugh. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times at the home of Larry and Diane Craig. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for Elke Craig, c/o Larry and Diane Craig, 123 Breezy Hollow Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
