Lawrence Ballard

Lawrence Eugene Ballard, 89, of Asheville passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his residence following a period of declining health.

A native of Buncombe County, he was son of the late Robert Nelson Ballard in 1987 and Daisy Robinson Ballard in 1989.

He was a 1949 graduate of Sandhill School.  He owned and operated Emma Bus Lines until his retirement in 2007.  Transporting children and adults to their destinations and back safely was one of his proudest accomplishments.

Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kelley Ballard; sons, Terry Lane Ballard of Nashville, TN and Jeff Lynne Ballard of Asheville, NC.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  Reverend Louis Gibson will officiate.
