Lawrence Jordan

Lawrence Adams Jordan, 87, of Asheville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014. A native of Burgaw, NC, he was the son of the late John and Mary Thomas Lane Jordan. Lawrence served his Country well in the Navy during World War II and loved being a sailor.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ball Jordan; brother, John Carl Jordan; sons, Lloyd Jordan, Kenneth Jordan and Bob Jordan and Debi; granddaughters, Jennifer Landstrom, Adrienne Clay and Hope Jordan and 5 great grandsons.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 6th at Abernathy United Methodist Church with Rev. Wes Austin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Asheville, NC 28801.
