Lee Queen

Lee Andrew Queen, 80, of Asheville died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 27, 2014. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son the late Rev. Oscar C. Queen, Sr. and Della Smith Queen.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Taylor Nix and a brother, Oscar C. Queen, Jr.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Queen of Asheville; two sisters, Aronia Brown of Asheville and Dorothy McGuinn of Weaverville. Additionally, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Lee retired in 1994 as a boiler room operator from BASF (formerly American Enka).

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1st from 12:00PM-1:00PM at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:15PM on Friday, August 1st at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler with Rev. Billy Taylor and Rev. Charlie Sams officiating and Joe Perry providing vocal accompaniment.
