Waynesville, Lena Mae Hill Milner, age 94, formerly of Arnold Heights, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. A native of Elizabeth City, she was a prior resident of Newport News, Virginia and had lived in Haywood County for 62 years. She was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Minnie Ebron Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Milner who died in1975; a son, Tom Milner; a daughter, Sammie Milner; one grandson, Tom Milner, Jr.; and a sister, Edna Roller. She was owner of Sam's Welding and a member of Barberville Baptist Church. She is survived by two grandsons, Randy Patterson and his wife, Melanie and Danny Milner; four great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Ned H. Webb officiating. Memorials may be made to the Barberville Baptist Church Organ Fund, 1441 Russ Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786.
