Leopold Tribelnig

Canton, Leopold "Leo" Tribelnig, age 81, of Lake Logan Road, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his residence. A native of Austria, he had lived in Haywood County since 1980 and was preceded in death by two sons, George and Mike Tribelnig. He was a 23-year veteran of the US Navy having served as a Chief Petty Officer and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed as a security officer at Haywood Regional Medical Center, retiring in 2006 with 20 years service. Leo enjoyed carpentry and was known for his keen sense of humor. He is survived by two daughters, Davina Mills and her husband, Don, of Weatherford, Texas and Katrina Lovelock and her husband, Roy, of London, England; one stepson, Vincent Zdralek, also of London; two brothers and two sisters; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two special friends, Ingrid Wells and Gisela Krotky.
