Leroy Frizzell

Leroy Frizzell, age 70, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Junior and Ruth May Rickman Frizzell. He retired from Dayco with 33 years of service and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a United States Marine veteran during the Cuban missile crisis. Leroy enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jeanie Allison Frizzell; two daughters, Angela Yvonne Frizzell of Canton and Karen Joyce Townsend and her husband, Michael, of Murphy; a son, James McKinley Frizzell and his wife, Barbara, of Canton; a sister, Ethel Yvonne McCracken of North Wilkesboro; a brother, Frank William Frizzell of Canton; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
